How long is a session? How long does it take to complete the four-session package?
Sessions generally last 1 hour or longer depending upon the type of training you desire. We address general obedience training and behavior modification. Should you decide to take the four-session training, the time between sessions would be tailored to you and your dog’s individual needs. This is a significant advantage we have over classroom training. Some dogs will be ready to learn new skills in a week; others will be ready in a month. We tailor the training to you and your dog.
Do you only use positive reinforcement training?
There is no such thing. If you tell a dog “No,” you have used negative correction. Flow Training allows the dog to teach themselves with our coaching. We offer the dog choices and dogs will always seek the rewarding outcome. Just like you cannot have “up” without “down,” you can’t have positive without negative. Purely “positive dog training” is a marketing gimmick, mainly used to sell expensive dog training books and videos.
Do you guarantee results?
No. A dog trainer cannot train your dog to obey YOU. A good trainer can show your dog what is expected and motivate you to follow through. With your follow through of the trainer’s direction, your dog WILL become trained. If you do not follow the trainer’s advice, your dog will not become trained.
Do you teach dog training classes?
We only conduct private in-home dog training. Our goal and our good reputation are all about getting fast, long-lasting results for our clients. There is no better or more economical way to obtain a dog that will be a lifelong joy for their owner. Based on 30+ years experience in dog training, we will never mislead you on what genuinely useful training works. Compare the dogs we’ve trained with dogs that have been through obedience classes. The difference is startling.
Do you charge extra for training two dogs in the same house?
No. we charge a flat fee per session. However, we do not train children, cats, husbands, wives or in-laws. Please don’t ask.
How do I get started?

Are you really able to talk to dogs?
